How to find and use the Flying Disc in PEAK

The Flying Disc is one of the two new items in PEAK, and it can be incredibly useful to help you survive on the island.

Escaping the island isn't easy, especially so if you're playing alone. Looking after your dietary and hydration needs while scaling the terrain can be an immense challenge. The Flying Disc might appear simple, but you can use it strategically to open options that won't be available otherwise.

How to find the Flying Disc in PEAK

The Flying Disc is one of the easiest items to find, and it's available at the crash site itself. You won't find it inside the broken plane (where you obtain the compass). Instead, look for it right beside the luggage, on the outer wall of the plane's debris (near your backpack).

The Flying Disc is hard to miss, thanks to its bright green color. You can pick it up from the ground to add to your inventory, or transfer it to your backpack. This is the same location from which you can obtain the Binoculars, which is another item added to PEAK as part of the latest update.

How to use the Flying Disc in PEAK?

To use your frisbee, first select it from your inventory. The item can be used to knock down food, such as a coconut, from a height where you can't ordinarily reach it. There are probably other uses for it, too, but knocking down fruit is where my creativity capped out for now.

Aim the disc with your mouse and then hold the Q button. You should see a power meter pop up. Let go of the Q button when you think there's sufficient power. To bring down an item, you'll have to hit it directly.

Keep in mind that the Flying Disc is affected by gravity, so it won't fly in a straight line for long. You'll have to anticipate and adjust accordingly for your throw to be successful.
