Throughout your time in San Vansterdam while playing Skate 4, you’ll be tasked with completing several challenges. Most of these challenges will require you to perform a variety of tricks, which helps you master the game. However, the tricks aren’t always straightforward to complete, even if they sound like it. One tough trick that has been giving players fits over the course of Skate 4’s life cycle so far is the 360 Spin.
The 360 Spin sounds so simple in theory, but in practice, it’s a whole other monster. Fortunately, you can check out the guide below to see exactly how to perform the 360 Spin.
Performing The 360 Spin In Skate 4
Like all tricks in Skate 4, the 360 Spin has a dedicated joystick/button combination that you must use to execute it. However, the 360 Spin is classified as an “Ollie” trick, and these are notoriously difficult to perform.
Specifically, Ollie tricks require precise joystick movements, as most of them share a combination of movements with one another. This leads to you performing a trick that you didn’t intend if you’re off with your joystick movements by even a fraction of a centimeter in your trick meter at the bottom of the screen.

The 360 Spin is no different, as you can easily perform a Laserflip or a Varial Heelflip instead of the trick you’re actually looking to do. If you’re trying to complete a challenge that requires a 360 Spin, such as the Park Practicum challenge in Skate 4, then you’ll likely have to spend at least a few minutes trying to get the trick perfect.
You can see how to perform the 360 Spin below:
- With some momentum on your board and a flat surface in front of you, use the following joystick movements:
- RS flick Left, Down, and Up and to the Right
- You’ll first flick your right joystick southwest, then move it south, and finally move it to the northeast on your trick meter
As we said earlier, the 360 Spin sounds simple enough to pull off, but you’ll quickly find that it can be an incredibly frustrating trick to do consistently. However, as long as you spend a decent chunk of time trying to master the joystick movements and paying attention to your trick meter, you should be able to start doing the 360 Spin with some consistency after a few minutes or so.
