How to disarm mines during Locked Gate in ARC Raiders

The Locked Gate event in ARC Raiders has always been tricky, and now it's even harder. The Week 21 trials involve disarming several mines while the event is live, which is a completely new activity with the Shrouded Skies update.

So, let's look at how you can do the needful without blowing yourself up. For starters, I advise rolling in with a free loadout. Things can go wrong quite easily.

Firstly, you'll need to wait for the Locked Gate event to appear in rotation. The event exclusively takes place on the Blue Gate map, so this task is quite specific. Next, head to any of the following areas.

  • Reinforced Reception
  • Raider's Refuge
  • Ancient Fort
  • Pilgrim's Peak

All these places are named POIs, so finding them isn't that difficult. Either way, I have marked the locations on the image below to make things easier.

You'll find several active mines spread all around these spots. You'll have to get pretty close to figure out if the area you're at is the active one. Hence, press the Ctrl button to crouch and walk slowly. That way, you can get close to the mines without triggering them.

Once you're close to a mine, you'll get the prompt to "disarm" it. Interact with the mine (when the prompt is available), and you'll defuse the explosive. Repeat until you have three stars on the task.

If you find a mine but the prompt doesn't appear, it means that another player has already diffused it, so you'll have to keep searching. Just make sure that the Locked Gate event is active for the mines to appear on the map.
