Endgame buildcrafting is changing in Diablo 4 Season 14, aka Season of Death Awakening, thanks to a myriad of changes being made to Mythic Uniques. Unlike previous seasons, Mythic is no longer a rarity type, but a “modifiable Item Quality.” It means that every Unique can be converted into a Mythic Unique.
While this should open up more buildcrafting opportunities, it might also diminish the impact of a once-in-a-blue-moon Mythic drop that could once alone carry your build through every endgame content. Below we explain every way you can craft Mythic Uniques in Diablo 4 Season 14.
How to convert Unique into Mythic Uniques in Diablo 4
One of the best ways you can craft Mythic Uniques in Diablo 4 now is by using the Horadric Cube. You will need a Unique item with 850+ Item Power and five Pandemonium Fragments (new season 14 material) to convert a Unique into a Mythic Unique.
Pandemonium Fragments can be obtained from the Season Reputation board, Resplendent Caches, and from slaying the Seasonal Lair Boss. We will have a separate farming guide up for Pandemonium Fragments once season 14 is live, to pinpoint the best farming spots, exploits (if any), etc.
From season 14 onwards, once you insert a Unique item into the Cube, you will see a new option to “upgrade to Mythic”. All crafted Mythic Uniques will be Ancestral, with a 30% boost in their Unique Power.
It’s worth noting that it’s not guaranteed to obtain the same affix on the Unique Mythic as the Unique you used. Additionally, you can only equip one crafted Mythic Unique at a time, whereas you’re free to equip as many dropped Mythic Uniques as you want.
You can also craft Mythic Uniques at the Jeweler. For this, you’ll need 3 Resplendent Sparks and 18 specific Runes.
NOTE:You can start crafting Mythic Uniques after reaching character level 70 in Torment +.
The easiest way to get Resplendent Sparks is by progressing the Season Journey. You can also obtain them by defeating Torment bosses, Echo of Lilith, and by salvaging previously acquired Mythic Uniques.
