How to complete Week 3 events in Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Series 2

Winter has arrived once more with Forza Horizon 6’s Festival Playlist’s Series 2 Week 3, and now we have a showcase for the cars of the 2000s. The series is called Horizon Decades, and we’re entering the decade that’s going to be familiar to most.

The third week of Series 3 maintains the momentum with a mix of easy and difficult challenges. Reserve up to two hours to complete all the challenges.

Here’s how to complete all Week 3 events in Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Series 2.

Weekly Challenge — Theory of Evolution

The new millennium is upon us! Screenshot by Dot Esports

In this weekly challenge, we have to drive the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition. Wow, what a mouthful. As always, we need to do four challenges with the car, and as usual, these challenges need to be completed one after the other; you can’t just skip to the final one and do it first.

  • Own and Drive the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition.

The 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition is the reward for earning the very first Wristband, so it’s highly likely that you already own the car. Just in case, it’s also available at the Autoshow for 70,000 Credits.

  • Complete 3 laps at the Sekiba Time Attack in the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition.

Simply fast travel to the Sekiba Time Attack circuit and complete three laps. There’s no set time you need to beat, so simply drive at your leisure.

  • Earn 3 Stars at the Festival Loop Speed Zone in the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition.

Since there’s no PI restriction, you can just upgrade the car as much as you want until you’re able to earn 3 Stars.

  • Win a Dirt Race in the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition.

Evos were made for Dirt Racing, so pick a circuit you want, set up a race, and go dominate.

You’ll get 25,000 Credits as the reward for completion.

Photo Challenge

This week’s Photo Challenge has us take a picture of any Rally Monster car from the 2000s decade. Simply open your garage and sort through this class. If you have a car from the 2000s, get into it and take a photo. If not, go to the Autoshow and buy the cheapest available option.

You’ll get the “You’re a MONSTER!” Forza Link phrase as the reward for completion.

Treasure Hunt

To complete this Treasure Hunt, you need to travel to the extreme north of the Forza Horizon 6’s map. With Series 2, Playground Games stopped giving us the map marker for the treasure chest, and this week’s location is also not distinct enough. Thankfully, it’s also not that difficult to find. To save yourself some trouble, simply drive to this map marker:

You’ll get 100,000 Credits as the reward for completion.

Seasonal Championship — Stray from the Path

The Seasonal Championship — Stray from the Path is a series of three races. You don’t need to do them all consecutively, and you also don’t have to win them all to become champion, as you get points that are tallied after all three are finished.

The event is restricted to B-Class 600 PI 2000s Modern Rally cars. This is one of the few championships where every single available car is good. Our pick was the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, but you can go for any of the Imprezas or Lancer Evos.

The reward for winning the Championship is a 2006 Audi RS 4.

Seasonal Championship — Retro Rewind

The second Seasonal Championship is Retro Rewind, and it’s also a traditional 3-race challenge with the tried-and-true format as before.

The event is restricted to A-Class 700 PI 2000s Retro Sports Cars. There are two options: the 2005 Honda NSX-R GT, and the 2005 TVR Sagaris. The latter looks better on paper, but that’s not the case. When upgraded to 700 PI, NSX is an all-around better car, and it also comes free as it’s a Barn Find.

The reward for winning the Championship is a 2001 Acura Integra Type R.

Time Attack

This week’s first World Event is the Hokubu Time Attack.

The challenge has an S1-Class 800 PI 2000s car restriction, where you will need to lap faster than 00:58:000. Most of the available cars can do this with ease, so pick whichever is available to you, with the exception of the Formula Drift cars.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.

Speed Zone

Possibly the most difficult World Event this week. Screenshot by Dot Esports

The second World Event is the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route Speed Zone. This is a brutal speed zone as it puts you in the snow corridor with no runoffs.

The challenge also has an S1-Class 800 PI 2000s car restriction. You need to beat 160.9 km/h, which is tricky here. Most of the available S1 cars are capable of doing this, but if you have multiple, pick the one with better acceleration.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.

Drift Zone

The Mt. Haruna Drift Zone is the final World Event. The challenge has an S1-Class 800 PI 2000s car restriction as well, and it will have you earn 115,000 Drift Points. The best car for the job is the 2009 Formula Drift #99 Mazda RX-8, which can be purchased from the Autoshow for 150,000 Credits, or earned for getting 1500 points in the Drift Zones category in the Journal.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.

Seasonal Online — The Trial

The Trial is back again. Screenshot by Dot Esports

The Trial is back again for the third week running, and it’s a Festival Playlist challenge that pits you and your fellow players against Drivatars of Unbeatable difficulty. The newest Trial challenge has a B-Class 600 PI 2000s Total FWD car restriction. Pickings are very slim, so preferably, go for the 2008 Renault Mégane R26.R you can earn from this week’s Eliminator and upgrade it to 600 PI. Otherwise, get the 2008 Honda Civic Type R.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia.

Seasonal Online — Horizon Play

The second Online challenge this week is much easier, as you don’t have to win it. Simply participate in any Horizon Racing Championship, and upon completion, you will receive your 3 points and the reward.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 2003 Honda S2000.

Seasonal Online — The Eliminator

The Eliminator is back in the Seasonal Online playlist, and it has the same requirement: finish at least 30th. This is not very hard to do, especially if you get a favorable spawn or if you hide until 30 racers remain.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 2008 Renault Mégane R26.R.

Monthly Rivals

The Monthly Rivals event is the same and is set at the Narai-Juku Circuit. All you need to do is set a clean lap at the circuit in any car, and the challenge will count as complete.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Super Wheelspin.

Daily Challenges

As always, in addition to the weekly challenges, we also have the daily ones that will gradually unlock every day, and completing each one awards you 5,000 Credits.

  • Day 1: Park at the Evolving World Car Meet in any car from the 2000s.
  • Day 2: Earn 3 Drift Tap Skills in any car from the 2000s.
  • Day 3: Complete 1 lap at any Time Attack Circuit in any Peel.
  • Day 4: Earn a total of 3 Stars at Trailblazers in any car from the 2000s.
  • Day 5: Win a Road Circuit Race in any Eclectic Domestic car.
  • Day 6: Earn a Threading the Needle Skill in any Mini.
  • Day 7: Earn 3 Stars at the Inner City Drift Zone in any car from the 2000s.

Rewards

Completing all the weekly and daily challenges will award you 50 points.

At 20 points, the prize is the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10.

At 40 points, the prize is the 2003 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning.

At 80 Series points, the prize is the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau.
