How to complete Week 1 events in Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Series 2

Forza Horizon 6’s Festival Playlist is back with Series 2, dedicated to showcasing several decades of car heritage. It’s called Horizon Decades, and it brought us a refreshing new set of challenges along with the long-awaited comeback of the Trial.

Playground Games removed all the training wheels for the second series, and not even the Treasure Chest is visible on the map. This is the hardest challenge week to date, but we’ll get through it.

Here’s the comprehensive guide on how to complete all Week 1 events in Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Series 2.

Weekly Challenge — Blast from the Past

In this weekly challenge, we have to drive the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 and complete four challenges with it. As always, these challenges need to be completed one after the other; you can’t just skip to the final one and do it first.

  • Own and Drive the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

The 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 is available for purchase at the Autoshow for 72,000 Credits, but it’s also one of the challenge rewards in this week’s series, so you should get it for free there.

  • Maintain a Speed of 88 mp/h (142 km/h) or above for 10 seconds in the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

This is an obvious Back to the Future movie easter egg, where the DeLorean had to reach the speed of 88 mp/h to initiate the time travel.

  • Take a photo of your 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

As straightforward as it gets. Open the photo mode and snap a pic of your 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

  • Win a Road Race in the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

Simply pick any suitable Road Race and win it with your 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

You’ll get 25,000 Credits as the reward for completion.

Photo Challenge

This week’s Photo Challenge has us take a picture of any car from the 1980s while drifting. It’s very easy to do. After you pick a car of your choice, simply initiate a drift, and as soon as the skill move indicator says ‘Drift,’ open the photo mode and snap the picture.

You’ll get the “Just a happy little accident” Forza Link phrase as the reward for completion.

Treasure Chest

Playground Games stopped joking around and now requires us to actually look for the treasure chest instead of simply showing it to us on the map.

Thankfully, it’s placed in a very memorable location, very close to the spot where we got our Ford GT Treasure Car in the Nangan region. To avoid wasting time, simply refer to this position on the map.

You’ll get 100,000 Credits as the reward for completion.

Seasonal Championship — Street Runner

The Seasonal Championship — Street Runner is a series of three races across Japan, and just as usual, you don’t need to do them all immediately, and you also don’t have to win them all to become champion, as you get points that are tallied after all three are finished.

The event is restricted to C-Class 500 PI 1980s Retro Super Saloon cars. There are only three available vehicles: the 1988 BMW M5, the 1988 BMW M3, and the 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS 500. You should probably have the latter, as it’s a Barn Find from the base game, and it’s also the best one of the batch, so make sure to pick it. Or you can use the 1988 BMW M3 from the second Seasonal Championship.

The reward for winning the Championship is a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

Just like every Seasonal Championship, What’s the Hatch is also a series of three races with the tried and true format as before.

The event is restricted to D-Class 400 PI 1980s Retro Hot Hatch. Your options are super limited, as you have to choose between only two cars: the 1986 Honda Civic SI, and the 1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI. The VW is a much better car, so make sure to pick it.

The reward for winning the Championship is a 1988 BMW M3.

Drag Meet

The first World Event this week is the Ito Half Mile Drag Meet.

The challenge has a B-Class 600 PI 1980s car restriction, and it requires you to run the strip in 00:21.000 or faster. It’s a beatable time no matter the car you choose, but just in case, make sure to pick something with at least 5.5 in Speed stat.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.

Speed Zone

The second World Event is the Deep Forest Speed Zone.

The challenge also has a B-Class 600 PI 1980s car restriction, so pick whatever you picked for the Drag Meet, and it will be more than enough to complete the challenge.

Trailblazer

The Nachi Falls Trailblazer is the final World Event. The challenge also has a B-Class 600 PI 1980s car restriction and requires you to finish it with 43 seconds remaining. It’s not the easiest task, as the regular 3-star performance is just 45 seconds, so pick something reliable like the 1986 Lancia Delta S4.

Seasonal Online — The Trial

Season 2 brings back The Trial, a Festival Playlist challenge type that will have you work with your fellow players against Drivatars of Unbeatable difficulty. The challenge has a B-Class 600 PI 1980s Total Rally car restriction, so the 1986 Lancia Delta S4 would work wonders here as well. Preferably, tune it to exactly 600 PI.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 1986 Audi #2 Audi Sport quattro S1.

Seasonal Online — Touge Showdown

The second Online challenge is thankfully a much easier one, and requires you to simply participate in the Touge Showdown Championship in any Ford Mustang car.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 1986 Ford F-150.

Seasonal Online — Hide & Seek

The final Online challenge this week is just a quick game of Hide & Seek. You don’t need to win it, and it also doesn’t matter which side you play as. Simply queue up, have fun, and receive an iconic car as the completion reward.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 1987 Mercedes-Benz AMG Hammer Coupe.

Monthly Rivals

The Monthly Rivals event is set at the Narai-Juku Circuit. All you need to do is set a clean lap at the circuit in any car, and the challenge will count as complete.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Super Wheelspin.

Daily Challenges

As always, in addition to the weekly challenges, we also have the daily ones that will gradually unlock every day, and completing each one awards you 5,000 Credits.

  • Day 1: Park at the Evolving World Car Meet in any car from the 1980s.
  • Day 2: Complete a Head-To-Head in The Eliminator.
  • Day 3: Take a photo whilst in any Ford from the 1980s at the Temple of Nachi Falls.
  • Day 4: Send a Gift Drop to another player.
  • Day 5: Win a race at the Shimanoyama Circuit in any car from the 1980s.
  • Day 6: Beat a Rivals Ghost in any car from the 1980s.
  • Day 7: Reach 241 km/h in any Ferrari.

Rewards

Completing all the weekly and daily challenges will award you 50 points. At 20 points, the prize is the 1989 Volkswagen Golf Rallye. At 40 points, the prize is the 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV.
