We’re finally in the new Festival Playlist series, with the third one being based on one of the Forza Horizon staples: Italian Exotics.
This week’s Trial is all about modern muscle cars, and you will need to choose one of these monsters from a fairly wide selection.
Italian Exotics Week 1 Trial
Curiously, despite this being the Italian Exotics-themed playlist, you don’t need to drive an Italian car in this one.
In Series 3 Week 1, the Trial is called Crossing Boundaries. It is worth 10 Festival Playlist points. It’s restricted to the C-Class 500 PI Total Rally cars, and the reward is the 1969 Ferrari Dino 246 GT.
This is a rally-based challenge, so you can get away with more pushing and showing in these races.
Best car for The Trial in Forza Horizon 6 Series 3 Week 1
There are several good options for this Trial, but ultimately, you should only be getting one car into this: the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth. It comes at the 456 base PI, and enough upgrade leeway to make it a beast. With the 500 PI, the car is head and shoulders better than any Drivatar vehicle, and if you’re at least decent at rally, you will be leading by turn 5; it’s that good.
The perfect upgrade code for the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth is 160 744 054.
How to win The Trial
This week, the Trial is a rally one. If you’re starting towards the top of the grid, your acceleration will allow you to catch the leading cars immediately. Don’t overtake them and ram into them instead; this will allow your slower teammates to catch up and have a shot at overtakes.
Otherwise, if you see that your team is doing well, you can concentrate on your own driving without any reservations. Your Ford is incredibly good at these types of races, so full steam ahead and revel in glory.
As always, try not to miss any checkpoints. Rewinds are costly time-wise, and Drivatars punish these mistakes harshly.
The Trial completion checklist
Before starting The Trial, make sure you have:
- The Gold Wristband
- An eligible car. The 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth is the best option.
- The car is tuned to 500 PI.
