How to complete the Scarytale Romance challenge in BitLife
This BitLife challenge has five objectives to complete to gain the random cosmetic reward at the end:
- Be born a female in Colorado
- Become a Psychiatrist
- Rent out a Haunted Storybook Home
- Wed your tenant of the Haunted Storybook Home
- Poison your spouse in the Haunted Storybook Home
Unlike many BitLife challenges, this one requires a DLC to complete every challenge. Unfortunately, you can’t complete it without buying the Landlord Expansion Pack for $4.99. Fortunately, the pack is a lot of fun to use if you don’t mind spending the money.
Be born female in Colorado
The first and most simple objective for this challenge is to be born a woman in Colorado. When creating your character, choose ‘female’ as their gender and the city of Denver in the U.S.A. as their birthplace.
If you can, increase the stats to 100 across the board, but the most important is “Smarts.” She will need to have the brains to excel in school, attend university, and then study diligently at medical school.
Become a Psychiatrist
Your character needs to be very smart, and to study hard in school, university, graduate school, and finally, medical school. After completing your schooling, go to the job listings and see if Jr. Psychiatrist is there. If not, age up and look again.
Apply for the position and pass the interview by answering sensibly. As long as you put in more effort at work and take on any extra hours your boss offers, you should get a promotion and become a Psychiatrist.
Rent out a Haunted Storybook Home
With your well-paid job as a psychiatrist, you should easily be able to afford to buy a Haunted Storybook Home. Go to Activities > Shopping > and choose a real estate place. Find the Haunted Storybook Home, or age up until it appears. They can cost between $600,000 and $900,000.
After buying the house, go to your property and select Rent. Find a suitable tenant, one your character will find attractive and who will hopefully like her back.
Wed the tenant of your Haunted Storybook Home
Build a relationship with your tenant, maxxing out the green bar under their name. If romance fails with them, evict them and rent it out to someone more suitable. Eventually, you will be able to romance your tenant, start dating them, compliment them, give them gifts, and then finally ask them to marry you.
Poison your spouse in the Haunted Storybook Home
Finally, you have to poison your spouse by going to Activities > Crime > Murder. Choose the option to murder your spouse by poison. If the option doesn’t appear, age up and try again. Once you have murdered your husband or wife, the challenge is complete!
