How to complete Dark Academia side quest in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate

The Kepler destination in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate is filled with side quests that unlock as you progress through the campaign. The Dark Academia quest tells a little bit more about what the Aionians tried to achieve here on Kepler.

Here’s how to complete the Dark Academia side quest in Destiny 2.

Destroy fuses to open the door

As you approach the quest marker, you’ll encounter a closed door with a generator shielded by a Fallen barrier. To remove the barrier, you must find and destroy three fuses in this room. The first one is in the vent under the stairs to the right of the door.

To find the other two, you need the Matter Realignment ability. Go to the right side of the room and follow the path up. Follow the pipes into a dark corner to find the ability. Use Matter Alignment on the pipe next to the giant vents protected by lasers and on the wall next to the train.

Destroy the fuses to remove the shield and transform into Matterspark to charge the generator. The Matterspark source is also on the pipes above the train, or if you have already completed The Edge of Fate campaign, you can transform into it anywhere, anytime.

In the room, interact with the ball on the ground to begin the quest. After the dialogue, scan the remains on the ground and interact with the monument in the corner, before grabbing the Aionian Device and delivering it to Dean Rebecca in Caldera.
