The Bundled Up badge is the latest addition to PEAK, and completing the achievement can be slightly tricky.
While added as part of the latest mini-update (on Sept. 24), it's not directly related to the Dillydallying activities you can enjoy at the Airport. Instead, you'll have to get past the Alpine level while meeting certain additional restrictions.
This guide will help you unlock the badge completed by the fewest players as of Sept. 25.
How to obtain the Bundled Up badge in PEAK
Unlike certain badges in the game, Bundled Up's description states clearly what you need to do.
- Get to the top of the Alpine biome without taking more than 20% cold damage.
It's similar to another badge added in the Mesa update, which requires players not to take over 20% heat damage. While it sounds easy, getting to the top of the Alpine biome while taking 19% or less cold damage is tricky. There are a few strategies to remember.
- You'll have to manage your body temperature when in the Alpine. The temperature will drop the higher you go, and the focus should be on raising the body temperature.
- Try to look out for caves or covered mountain edges. These spots allow you to save yourself from being caught in the wind and taking damage from it. Getting blasted by the cold winds will increase the Coldness damage and take it beyond the 20% threshold.
- Items like the Heat Pack are perfect for reducing cold damage. You can find the Heat Pack from random luggage around the island (especially in the Alpine biome).
- Use the campfires near the Alpine biome's top to raise your body temperature.
- If you managed to get the Ancient Idol stature (Golden Bing Bong) and didn't throw it into the volcano, you can use it to fight the cold. It's not an efficient strategy, but it will help keep the Coldness away.
That's pretty much all you need to do to survive and obtain the Bundled Up badge inside the game. The badge will help you get the Ice Climber outfit, and the cosmetics are available in two shades.
