How to change your vaccine appointment

Vaccine centres across the country have seen long queues in recent days, as the government ramped up its Coronavirus booster programme efforts ahead of Christmas.

All adults who have had their second Covid jabs at least three months ago are now eligible for a booster dose.

It's not only those in-person who have experienced long waiting times; people trying to book or amend their Covid vaccination appointments online via the NHS National Booking System have had to wait in lengthy queues too.

But if you need to rearrange your booster vaccine appointment, this is how to go about it.

To change your vaccine appointment, you firstly need to go onto the NHS National Booking System website and click the 'Book or manage a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination' link.

From there, you can scroll down and select the ' manage my booking ' button.

As traffic to the website is so high at the moment, you may be put into a queue.

Once the appointment screen loads, you'll need to input your NHS number.

After answering a few more personal information questions, you should then be able to cancel or rearrange your vaccine appointment.

Alternatively, you can call 119, between 7am – 11pm.
