How to Change Body Type in NBA 2K26

When you’re creating your MyPlayer in NBA 2K26, you’re given the freedom to pick what kind of body type you want for them. There are over a dozen different body types to choose from, and picking a certain one can affect your player’s movement speed, jumping ability, and dunk rating, among other things. It also plays a large role in determining your optimal position, as you don’t often see a jacked point guard in the NBA.

Of course, throughout the course of the journey with your MyPlayer in 2K26, you might want to make a change. Maybe you’re looking to play a different position or simply give your player new opportunities that come with a new body type. If you want to change your body type in 2K26, though, you will have to go through some trials and tribulations to do it.

In the guide below, we’ll go over how to change your body type and all of the different choices you have in 2K26.

Changing Your Body Type In NBA 2K26

The process of changing the body type of your MyPlayer in 2K26 is largely the same as it was in 2K25, so if you already know how to do it from that game, then you’re pretty much all set. However, if you need a refresher or you’ve never opted to switch body types before, then don’t worry, as there’s not a whole lot to it.

To change your body type, you need to head into The City and visit the northeast corner of the map. Here you’ll find the Gatorade Gym, which you need to enter. Inside the Gatorade Gym, you want to participate in one of the available workout sessions. Specifically, though, you have to complete all four available workouts in a given week. You also need to earn three or more Stars in those workouts to gain enough to change your body type.

The additional body type options only unlock after you acquire enough Stars through the Gatorade Gym workouts. Every time you complete a workout session in the Gatorade Gym, you’ll unlock one additional body type that can be equipped for your MyPlayer. The workouts at the gym reset every week, so to acquire all the available body types, you continually have to return to the gym, complete the workouts with enough Stars, and repeat the process.

Once you have completed a Gatorade Gym workout, you can head to the MyCareer tab in 2K26 and then go to MyPlayer. Here, head down to the “Appearance” menu and then select “Vitals.” This allows you to see your current body type and switch to any new ones you have available to pick from.

While there are over a dozen body types in 2K26, your MyPlayer won’t have access to each and every one right away. The body types are unlocked based on your player’s height, and this determines which body types you can unlock as you progress through the Gatorade Gym workouts.

Once you find the body type you want to unlock, simply select it, and it will be equipped onto your MyPlayer. You can head back into this menu in the future to select another or unlock a new one.
