- Football fans now have their final opportunity to secure tickets for the upcoming World Cup as the last-minute sales phase has officially commenced. With the full 48-team field now confirmed following six playoff finals on Tuesday, March 31, fans can purchase seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The current sales period, which began on Wednesday, April 1, at 11 a.m. ET via Fifa.com/tickets, marks the only remaining window for ticket acquisition and will run until the tournament concludes.
- In a significant change for supporters, tickets can now be purchased immediately, bypassing the previous lottery system. Fans are also able to select specific seats for matches.
- While various third-party resellers offer World Cup tickets, FIFA is strongly advising fans to utilise its official in-house resale and exchange marketplace.
- This platform, set to open on Thursday, April 2, "enables fans who can no longer attend matches to sell their tickets to other fans in a secure and authorized environment, safeguarding against invalid or unauthorized resale."
