How to Build the Best Training Schedule in EA FC 26

A solid training schedule is one of the key factors in determining a successful football season. No matter how much wear and tear each star in your squad goes through, maintaining a structured training plan strengthens them enough to keep up with your pace.

From boosting player development to preventing injuries, building the best training schedule in EA FC 26 Career mode remains a highlight in the community. With that in mind, here’s what it takes to create a dynamic, adaptive plan that gives you an edge over the competition.

Understanding Training Plans

EA FC 26 offers a single Career Mode, but it’s divided into two distinct paths: Player Career and Manager Career. While both provide training plans, Manager Career adds an extra layer of depth, to the point that planning the ideal one requires some technical considerations. Throughout your journey as a manager, your goal is to maintain a strategic balance between player health and skill development — made possible by an optimal training schedule.

So, before we get into the meat and potatoes. Here’s how to reach the screen where you fine-tune an effective plan, either for the whole squad or an individual star:

  • Head to the Manager Career main menu
  • Press R1/RB to reach the Squad tab
  • Select Training Plan

From here, you can command crucial training parameters, such as energy and sharpness. Since you’ve now got a starting point, consider the game-changing tips below to build a solid training plan.

Analyze Your Team’s Initial Stage

Before setting the foundations of your training plan, it’s wise to analyze the squad’s starting point. Being aimless here can result in a completely different strategy, planned for a team that requires extra attention. You can consider the following based on your squad’s condition:

  • Team with More Injury-Prone Players: Be careful and thoughtful. Go for a plan that balances recovery and workloads to save the squad from burning out.
  • Team with Strong Athletes: Go for frequent, demanding training sessions, as your squad can withstand the challenges.

Identifying the squad’s early conditions helps you carve a structured plan tailored to your strengths and weaknesses.

Getting Rid Of Automatic Plans

To be a clever manager, take command of your decisions and prevent the game from interfering. We don’t recommend turning off everything, but making changes after each game based on players’ energy levels is better than relying on a generic auto-plan.

Making The Right Move At The Right Time

Player statuses are there for a reason — don’t forget to monitor them frequently. An average EA FC 26 career season is a rollercoaster where player fatigue and form constantly fluctuate. To remain a step ahead, plan your strategies accordingly.

Upon monitoring, if you suspect a player is still up and running well, maintain their pace with an intense schedule. Similarly, if an athlete is caught in a sticky situation and injured, shifting them to recovery right away is wise.

Breaking Training Into Effective Blocks

Throughout the season, schedule player training sessions regularly to maintain steady performance. This doesn’t mean sending players out too often; it only means doing so when necessary.

We recommend training while you compete in 3 or 5 matches to recover and be ready for the next set. Doing so, losing your best athletes to a poor routine won’t be a problem. To clear our point, here’s an example 5-match training plan.

Match # Player Condition Training Focus
1 Still energetic with equal to or less than 80% juice left Intense
2 Good as new with more than 80% energy Heavy
3 Either injured or has less energy Recovery
4 In a neutral condition Balanced
5 Excellent health and condition, ready to deliver peak performance Intense

Ultimately, with all of these tips considered, maintaining a promising training schedule in EA FC 26 will be at your fingertips. Remember, being a game of two halves that focuses on heavy football simulation, you need to think like a real coach to get things going your way.
