This course has now passed – but we update our programme all the time. For information on our full range of masterclasses, sign up to our newsletter, follow us on Twitter, or keep an eye on our calendar.

Think you’ve got an eye for a good picture? This masterclass will help you fulfil your true potential as a photographer. Over the course of five days, some of the UK’s most passionate photographers will teach you how to make the most of your digital camera. You’ll master the technical basics, take part in fun photo-walks, and even get the chance to have your work exhibited at Guardian HQ and on our website.

Ideal for 16-21 year olds*, the course includes plenty of practical exercises and tailored tuition, where you’ll receive guidance from expert photographers. Our enthusiastic tutors include fine art photographer Anthony Epes, Guardian head of photography Roger Tooth, award-winning Guardian photographer David Levene, and William Reveall, whose food photography has illustrated cookbooks by star chefs such as Mary Berry. Whether you’re interested in a career in photography, or want to make your Instagram images stand out from the crowd, the course is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and create a portfolio of images to be proud of.

*The course is ideal for 16-21 year olds, however we may be able to accommodate students who are slightly older than this. Please email our team for advice at masterclasses@theguardian.com.
