Democrats, it’s time to take the low road. Any Democratic presidential candidate can easily win the next election if they change their approach.
As it stands now, Democratic candidates are making a huge mistake trying to beat President Donald Trump by offering solutions to big problems and using logic, facts and truth.
They are emphasizing that they are good, caring, collaborative and inclusive people. That they have the experience. That they are knowledgeable, having listened to and learned from experts. That they have rational thoughts about foreign affairs, the economy, public policy, climate change, social issues, health care, education, budget deficits and terrorism.
How dumb is that?

If Trump had tried to be a nice person, apologized when wrong, employed reason, been honest or considered the expert knowledge of others, he never would have been elected president. He won by stirring the pot, getting emotional, getting angry and tearing down his opponents at a personal level.
When will Democrats realize that no matter what Trump does, even if there are witnesses and it’s all on video, the Republican leadership in Washington, as well as his political base and media outlets like Fox News, will tell you it never happened. It’s fake news. It’s all a big conspiracy. It’s a witch hunt.
So here’s what Democratic candidates have to do to win the 202 presidential election, after which they can go back to being their normal selves.
They have to get down in the gutter. Get dirty. Take the gloves off. Fight fire with a flame thrower.
Act like Trump, that is to say.
It’s not hard. You just have to play the part of a selfish, entitled, 10-year-old bully who cheats on tests and blames others for every bone-headed mistake he makes.
Stop going after each other, Democrats, and go after only Trump. Talk loudly. Yell. Blame Trump for everything bad in this world. Speak at a 6th grade level. Give Trump degrading nicknames (like Felonious Trump and Communist Trump, Dumb Donald and Dimwitted Donald. Maybe Wimpy D). Repeat these nicknames often.
And shout out a lot of wild assumptions about him, as does about others. Suggest he is not healthy. Suggest he is too unhinged to operate a merry-go-round at a carnival. Prove it with doctors’ notes that you’ve written yourself.
