How to beat this week's Trials in Arc Raiders

Arc Raiders Trials: Key art of a player hiding behind a car as a Queen towers over the road behind them, with a dangerous red light active.

Trials in Arc Raiders is effectively a ranking system where you compete against other players for high scores on five challenges each week. When you complete a task for this week's challenges, you'll earn points towards that objective and earn a place on the leaderboard.

The competition can get intense, to say the least. But if you're looking to earn all the unique Trials rewards, you're going to need to step up to the plate and give it a shot. Below, I'll go over all the Trials challenges this week and the best way to complete them for a high score.

Here's how to get a high score on this week's Trial challenges (week 7), available from Monday, December 8, until Monday, December 15:

Trial Challenge

Best Method

Destroy Ticks, Fireballs, and Pops

These three Arcs are all pretty common enemies. A good route is to go to Dam Battlegrounds and clear out the underground tunnels joining Water Treatment and Research & Administration, then go all the way from the Control Tower basement to the very top.

You could also head to the Buried City and search the Parking Garage, residential areas, or the various metro stations across the map, since these often have them as well.

Search Supply Drops

Opening a Supply Drop in Arc Raiders is usually pretty simple, and, as mentioned in the guide above, there's always one in the Hydroponic Dome Complex in Dam Battlegrounds.

You can find others as well— just keep an eye out for a pole with a light on top with a console you can activate at the bottom to call one in.

Damage Wasps

As one of the most common Arcs, you can find Wasps pretty much everywhere, but if you want a high-density, I'd suggest heading to the Power Generation Complex or near the Control Tower on Dam Battlegrounds.

There are also quite a lot in Buried City and since that map is smaller, it's easy to hang out on a rooftop and snipe to aggro them, though that may draw unwanted player attention if you're at it too long. As with any flying Arc, its propellers are the weak point.

Damage Bastions

Given the difficulty of these enemies, getting three stars for this Trial isn't necessarily a walk in the park (well, except for that Bastion that literally spawns in Marano Park).

You can find Bastions on multiple maps, but your best bet is Buried City, either in Plaza Rosa, Marano Park, or on the street next to the Parking Garage. Just make sure it's definitely a Bastion first versus a Bombardier—the easiest way to tell is whether it has two spotter Arcs patroling nearby.

The best way to damage Bastions is by blasting their legs away with a Ferro or Anvil, but you can use explosives, too.

Damage Queens or Matriarchs

Despite being the toughest Arcs in the game, these are pretty easy to find at least. Simply wait for the Harvester (Queen), or Matriarch map events on Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, or Blue Gate.

Your best bet for damaging these will be a Hullcracker and Wolfpacks, but you can still contribute even with a Ferro or Anvil and some heavier duty grenades.

Right off the bat, it's important to understand how scoring works. Firstly, only your personal best score during a single run for each challenge contributes to your overall ranking, so you need to be prepared.

Secondly, you can earn double Trial Score points when map conditions are active, such as Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, and Hidden Bunker, so you're always best off attempting the challenges on these runs. Plus, it's basically always easier to attempt these with two other players, not just because it's easier to stay alive, but also because the score is shared, letting you earn higher scores with much less effort.

Arc Raiders Trials rewards

There are two types of rewards for competing in the Trials system: challenge rewards and seasonal rewards. Challenge rewards are earned by scoring points on tasks each week, and basically just give you a loot box (though these can include blueprints).

Seasonal rewards are much more exciting, giving you exclusive items based on your final rank at the end of the season. The current season rewards are:

  • Rookie II: Happy Jig emote
  • Rookie III: Black Eye face style
  • Tryhard I: Archaeologist backpack colour
  • Tryhard III: Briefcase backpack attachment
  • Wildcard I: Mastery Medal backpack charm
  • Wildcard III: Bow and Arrow emote
  • Daredevil I: Patrol outfit and headgear
  • Cantina Legend: Scarlet Black colour for the Patrol outfit
