How to Awaken a Stand in Bizarre Lineage
Bizarre Lineage Stand Awakening is one of the core mid-game mechanics when it comes to Stands, and it is especially important if you want to know how to later prestige in Bizarre Lineage. The process is mostly easy, but the final step is, unfortunately, ridiculously grindy, and we hope that the developers will patch that up soon and make the requirements a tad bit easier. So, without further ado, here’s how to awaken a Stand in Bizarre Lineage.
Step 1: Max Out Your Stand Conjuring & Reach Level 50
Conjuring you stand will unlock your Stands' abilities, so you'll want to do this anyway. For the awakening, you'll need to reach Stand Conjuration level 100. In order to conjure a specific stand, you will need to use that Stand and do any of the following:
- Complete missions and quests
- Defeat NPC enemies or other players
- Win in any ranked gamemode
- Complete and win PvP missions
However, the best way to farm Conjuration for your Stand is by using a mat in the Gym. It is by far the fastest and most efficient method. Doing all of the activities above will also help you reach character level 50, so you will be working on both requirements simultaneously. Both of these are a must if you want to awaken a Stand in Bizarre Lineage.
Step 2: Complete the Bizarre Lineage Stand Awakening Quest
Now this is the tricky part, as the game doesn't clearly explain how to start this quest. Keep in mind that the quest isn’t available until you reach character level 50 and Conjuration level 100 (max Conjuration). Only then will you be able to kick off the quest. Here’s what you need to do, step by step.
- Go to any bus stop and take the bus to Bus Stop 2.
- Once there, immediately behind the bus stop, you'll see JoJo's Bizarre Gym. Head inside.
- Find any mat and click E to meditate.
- Find the Self NPC inside the meditation realm.
- Talk to him and choose the dialogue option "I want to surpass my limits."
You will then be asked to "defeat those with true power." This will start the Bizarre Lineage Stand Awakening 1 quest, where you will need to:
- Defeat Jotaro Kujo
- Defeat Muhammad Avdol
- Defeat DIO
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are no grade requirements for beating these raids in order to complete the quest. You can play any rank for these raids, and it will count as long as you beat them. It will also count even if you die during the raid. The only thing that matters is completing it.

Once you beat all the raids, you'll complete the first part of the questline. Unfortunately, now comes the hard part. The Stand Awakening 2 quest requires you to complete 50 World Events! So, in order to awaken a stand in Bizarre Lineage, you'll have to grind a lot. Hopefully, the developers will rebalance this and make the grind a bit less brutal, but for now, that's how it works.
