Best Areas For Delegation
While it will certainly be tempting to control everything yourself, smart manager know when to trust their staff. If you’re someone that’s completely new to the series, delegation can make your first few seasons far less overwhelming. The game has a ton of systems running at once, so offloading some work can handle the heavy lifting as you slowly but surely become a veteran manager.
Scouting Responsibilities are the first things you should look to delegate. Good Chief Scouts and analysts are built for this. So, let them handle scouting meetings, compile opposition reports, and manage scout assignments.
Transfer and Contract Responsibilities are another good area for delegation. Most players will prefer not to handle every single negotiation, so you’re better off leaving this to someone like your General Manager or Director. Not only does this take a load off your shoulders, but it also may help maintain financial balance and prevent overpaying.
For Media, you can just throw most of that stuff to your Assistant Manager to avoid repetitive dialogue. It’s a small change that can save a lot of time over a long season.
Finally, Training and Set Pieces can be shared with specialized coaches. For example, you can assign defensive training to your defensive coach or goalkeeping coach, and attacking routines to your Assistant Coach. This is not just removing control, it’s also ensuring you’re players get adequate coaching from the right source.
