How to apply to appear on Love Island 2020

When one series of Love Island ends - it's time to start thinking about the next one, and in 2020 that will be the next two.

If you're already suffering from withdrawal you won't have long to wait as the reality TV dating show will be back sooner than you think thanks to a new winter edition series starting next year.

And if you fancy your chances, or the contestants, you can apply for either regular Love Island 2020 or the winter version. Casting for the winter series is already open.

You have to be up for a fight, though, as more people applied for this year's season of Love Island than for places at Oxford or Cambridge universities, reports WalesOnline .

And you can start enhancing your chances by making sure your social media accounts are up to scratch - producers are always looking for influencers or potential influencers when they start the casting process.

You could also take matters into your own hands like last year's Georgia Steel, who apparently tracked down 2017's Amber Davies in a bar and asked her to put in a good word with producers.

Either way, you will have to fill out an application form online, make sure you comply with all the terms and conditions and - if you're one of the few from hundreds of thousands to get a call back, you'll be invited to submit an audition tape.

Applicants must be aged over 18 before the application closing date.

However, whilst the application closing date may be set, producers can and have extended this in the past.

When will the applications for Love Island 2020 open?

At the end of the 2019 Love Island's final, Caroline Flack announced that applications for the first ever winter series have officially been opened.

The website says: "ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the winter sun in search of love!

"Love Island will be back for 2020 and we're now on the lookout for people to take part. Our islanders will spend time in a luxury villa in the hope of finding love, but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders, who ultimately decide their fate on Love Island.

"If you think you’ve got what it takes, then we want to hear from you!"
