How to apply for Hunted as hit Channel 4 show looks for Geordies for new series

It’s the show that’s had its viewers on the edge of their seats for a few years now and producers of Hunted have now issued a rallying call to get some Geordies recruited for the soon to be filmed next series.

The Channel 4 show, which has just returned to our screens, sees willing members of the public be set the challenge of going on the run for a month, with the sole aim of avoiding the crack team of ‘hunters’ will be hoping to follow their every move.

Celebrities have also got in the Hunted action with The Wanted stars Jay and Siva escaping the hunters right at the death for a celebrity series in 2017 and Vicky Pattison being captured a year later.

And now producers are on the hunt for fugitives for the forthcoming series.

If you aren't familiar with the show, a crack team of hunters try to use the same methods of surveillance employed by the state, including cyber expertise and interrogating friends and family.

They also use CCTV cameras and even hack into phones and social media sites to gain information on the fugitives.

Those that remain on the run after 25 days and reach the secret extraction point win a share of £100,000.

There’s been a distinct lack of Newcastle contestants on the civilian version of Hunted so far. Do you fancy changing that?

The latest appeal for contestants reads "We are looking for men and women of all ages to try and evade capture from a team of expert trackers. We are looking for people from a variety of backgrounds and professions who think they have what it takes to disappear in 21 century Britain.  They could be going it alone or with friends, family or colleagues."

If you feel you have what it takes then visit www.huntedapplications.com to apply for the next series. You need to be 18 years old or over, a British national and in good health.

The closing date for applications is Sunday, March 8 so you've not got long left!
