How to apply for Don't Tell The Bride as E4 show appeals for contestants for next series

Its called out for Geordie couples to take part in the past and now hit TV show Don't Tell The Bride is after some more for its forthcoming series.

Now on E4 rather than its original home of BBC Three, the wedding show is now over 10 years old and once featured a Newcastle couple who tied the knot at the Discovery Museum.

But that wasn’t the wackiest wedding the show has seen by a long way, with people tying the knot everywhere from aquariums to rollercoasters and everything in between, including an It’s The Knockout style obstacle course!

And then 2017 saw arguably the best wedding ever when South Shields couple Adam and Rachel had a Neighbours themed wedding inspired by Scott and Charlene’s schmaltzy Ramsey Street nuptials 30 years ago.

If you’re not familiar with the concept of the programme, couples are split up for a few weeks, with the brides to be left completely in the dark as their soon to be husbands have £13,000 to spend on their dream wedding. We use the word dream loosely as if you have seen Don’t Tell the Bride, you’ll know many of them end up being nightmare nuptials, particularly for the brides concerned!

The last series made headlines when a wedding was scrapped for the first time in Don't Tell The Bride history after producers got wise to the fact that a couple had gone against the biggest rule of the show and had been communicating with each other.

Don't Tell The Bride

Don't let that put you off though! A rallying call for the next series reads: "Brides – Have you always dreamt of your perfect wedding? Grooms – Do you have big ideas that could impress your bride? We have £13,000 to make your big day!."
