How to access Armory and unlock weapons in Black Ops 6 and Warzone

If you’ve missed out on unlocking weapons from previous Black Ops 6 and Warzone seasons, the Armory has got you covered.

Every now and then, older weapons from past Call of Duty seasons or even entire titles get buffed and suddenly jump back into the spotlight. Take the Krig C and TAQ-56 for instance. The former is BO6 season one gun, while the latter is from Modern Warfare 2.  But after receiving major buffs midway through Warzone season three, the two skyrocketed as meta assault rifles on Verdansk.

So, whether you’re chasing after a fan-favorite you missed or trying to stay competitive with the current meta, here’s everything you need to know about accessing the Armory and unlocking those weapons.

Where is the Armory in BO6 and Warzone?

The Armory is basically your second shot at unlocking content you might’ve missed, like weapons, attachments, perks, wildcards, and other gear from past battle passes or limited-time events. It’s a great way to fill out your arsenal with items that were once exclusive or hard to get.

You’ll unlock access to the Armory once you hit player level 24. From there, you can start working through XP-based challenges, each tied to a specific item.

Accessing the Armory works the same way in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Just follow these steps:

  1. From the main menu, go to Barracks or the Options menu (identified by a six-square icon).
  2. Head over to the Challenges section.
  3. Select Armory from the options.

Unlocking a specific item in the Armory is super easy. Just activate its XP challenge by left-clicking it if you’re on PC, or pressing A on Xbox or X on PlayStation.

Once it’s active, all you have to do is play matches and rack up XP until you hit the requirement. Note that you can only have one XP challenge active at a time. But don’t worry, your progress on other challenges is saved automatically if you decide to switch to another item.

You’ll want to unlock items in the Armory as soon as they become available. Some challenges might disappear in future seasons. Occasionally, certain items don’t show up in the Armory at all, so it’s a good idea to grab them while you can.

If you want to accelerate the unlocking process, use double XP tokens or jump into the game during double XP weekends. Check out our guide about BO6 double XP weekends.
