How Titans can still clinch No. 1 seed with a loss or tie

After defeating the Miami Dolphins 34-3 in Week 17, the Tennessee Titans are AFC South champions for the second consecutive year and are just one way away from clinching the No. 1 seed in the conference.

In Week 18, the Titans draw a matchup against the Houston Texans, a team Tennessee lost to earlier in the season, 22-13. If the Titans can avoid another letdown game against their division rival, they will be the No. 1 seed.

Not only does the No. 1 seed afford the Titans a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs, but it also means they are only two wins away from making it to Super Bowl LVI.

Seeing as how the Titans have been prone to letdown games this season, a win in the regular-season finale isn’t a lock. With that being said, the Titans can still clinch the No. 1 seed even if they lose or tie.

Let’s see what those scenarios are.
