Chelsea star Timo Werner says he is settling into life in the Premier League as he returns to Leipzig with Germany.

The forward, who joined the Blues in a deal worth almost £50million from RB Leipzig over the summer, is back at his former stadium with Germany on Saturday evening as they take on Ukraine in the Nations League.

Werner has notched eight goals in 12 appearance across all competition for Frank Lampard so far this season after a few early misses.

The forward says he is starting to grow accustom to the physicality of English football - and is also growing as a player thanks to facing stronger sides each week.

"Teams use long balls more often in England but obviously you get stronger when you’re playing against strong opponents,’ said Werner.

"You see space differently and that helps in the national side too.

"It does differ as the coaches have different ideas of how to play football but I’ve definitely got more used to the physicality."
