One of the things that makes Edinburgh such an interesting city to live in is the different vibes of each distinct area. Leith is cool, Morningside is upper middle class, Abbeyhill is increasingly artsy. But the names of the different parts of the city are as intriguing as the places themselves, and all have their own unique origins.
