How the new generation of England WAGs are decorating their homes

Is it coming home?

Even if football doesn’t, the interiors are getting a look-in this year, what with London being one of the delayed Euro 2020’s host cities. What better way to gauge the style mood of the nation than peer into the world of footballer’s wives and girlfriends?

You can’t just be photogenic when getting papped falling out of a nightclub?

New gen WAGs include a singer/model and a property developer/sports manager/accountant. This must be well documented on social media, so you also need the skills of a photographer and a set designer.

First round: live like a footie girlfriend

Chloe Wealleans-Watts, a 21-year-old singer and model, is going out with star of England v Croatia, Mason Mount. Her mirror selfies reveal pitches’ worth of manicured grey carpet and gallery-white walls. Her marble-floored kitchen and island with mirrored display shelf also serve as an occasional Insta backdrop.

When you’re going to put a ring on it?

Paige Milian, affianced to Raheem Sterling, manages Colossal Sports Management, is a qualified accountant and has her own real estate company at the age of 25. Her home features embossed crocodile-skin wallpaper complete with matching staircase, and a lot of crushed velvet sofas in palest grey.

Grand final: live like a footie wife

A bit of sleuthing suggests Kate Kane — the fitness instructor wife of Harry — hit up A-list interior designer Kelly Hoppen to do her London home. She shares cute shots of her kids in a vast Maison Valentina bathtub or against a grand staircase. Her home gym features a marble press-up bench and her husband’s framed shirts, natch.

I’m sensing a theme here

If you’ve used enough marble to make a billionaire blush then you’re on the right track.

It was more fun when VB, Cheryl and Coleen ruled the roost…

They’re unlikely to get banned but it’s all a bit bland. We’ll always have Baden-Baden.
