How the final Six Nations table is now expected to look as England still favoured over Wales

Wales’ victory over Scotland on Saturday shook up the Six Nations.

Wayne Pivac’s side entered the tournament as underdogs but back-to-back wins has raised the prospects of a title challenge.

After starting with victory over Ireland, the win at Murrayfield has propelled Wales from fifth to third favourites in a week.

As expected, their odds to be crowned champions have now shortened with the bookies but favourites France, who have also won both games so far, and England are still more fancied.

Wales meet England next at the Principality Stadium on February 27 in what is likely to be a pivotal weekend.

Ireland started the tournament as third favourites and were still expected to finish there after their defeat in Cardiff, but a second successive defeat at the hands of France effectively ended their title hopes and they are now staring at a fifth-placed finish.

This is how bookmakers think the final table will look, based on title odds:

France (9/4)

The win in Dublin has seen Le Bleus’ odds shrink from 3/1 last week as they look on course for a first title in 11 years.

France’s Grand Slam odds have also shortened to 28/11.

England (39/10)

Eddie Jones’ side remain second favourites and their odds have come down slightly after a 41-18 win over Italy.

Wales (11/1)

Joint top after two rounds, Wales are still yet to convince many they are serious challengers. Their Grand Slam odds have reduced slightly to 31/2.

Scotland (18/1)

After seeing their odds shrink to 10/1 after beating England, Scotland now face a battle to get back in the title mix and visit France next.

Ireland (150/1)

After two defeats, Ireland face a battle to rescue their Six Nations and look set for a lowly position.

Italy (3,000/1)

It is now 29 consecutive Six Nations defeats for Italy and hard to see them finishing anywhere other than bottom.
