How the final Six Nations 2021 table is predicted to look as Wales become rank outsiders

England have been backed to retain their Six Nations crown.

Eddie Jones' side head into the tournament full of confidence after establishing themselves as the number two side in the world, just behind world champions South Africa.

Last time out, in a tournament disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, England became the first side since Wales in 2013 to win the competition after losing their opening game - a 24-17 defeat to France.

The victory also brought them level with the record set by Wales the previous year, extending their record to 29 outright titles.

Wales themselves endured a difficult campaign, winning just one game as they came in fifth place, although the bookies predict them to do a little better this time around.

According to The Pools Wales are 11/1 to win the tournament outright, ahead of Scotland (18/1) and Italy (100/1).

England are favourites at 11/10, just ahead of France (5/2) and Ireland (7/2).

The bookies also believe that England are the most likely side to claim the Grand Slam at 2/1, but clearly believe that the most likely outcome is that no team will win every single game at this year's tournament.

Wales, meanwhile, are massive outsiders for Grand Slam glory, with odds at a whopping 50/1.
