Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to life under Thomas Tuchel with a 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
An own-goal from Blades midfielder Ollie Norwood handed the Blues, who have now reached the semi-finals of the competition for the fourth time in five seasons, the lead before Hakim Ziyech wrapped up the tie in second half stoppage time with his second goal in as many games.
But despite the scoreline suggesting that Chelsea had coasted their way to victory and registered a routine win to set-up a semi-final date with Manchester City at Wembley next month, the truth is they didn't.
United, still reeling from the departure of popular manager Chris Wilder just over a week ago, put in an admirable performance in the second half which lacked everything but a goal. David McGoldrick, somehow, headed wide from inside the six yard box before record-signing Rhian Brewster drilled into the side-netting, just minutes before Ziyech sealed the win for the home side at the other end.
Although Chelsea, you could say, rode their luck at times, they did just enough to make it 14 games unbeaten under Tuchel and secure their first Wembley visit under his stewardship.
Reflecting on his side's performance post-match, Tuchel said: "[Did I] expect a better performance? Yes, but now is the fourteenth match in a row and I could feel after the Atletico game that we are a bit tired, there was a big relief in the team, and that is absolutely normal.
"It was also a huge effort mentally against Atletico.
"Then you have a lot of changes, made by me of course, and you have players leaving right now for international duties, so there is a lot to organise, and many unclear situations.
"It was a moment where we arrived yesterday [Saturday] where I didn't feel 100 per cent comfortable or sure that we could continue on the same level.
"I said to the team before not to over-expect things from ourselves in the situation. Do a serious performance, take the little details, but don't over-expect. The first-half was ok.
"The second-half, there was a chance for Christian [Pulisic] that we didn't take, and then we lost control, concentration and momentum. And there were many, many minutes to suffer."
Despite not producing the most exciting performance of this remarkable run they currently find themselves on, Tuchel's players could not help but celebrate reaching the semi-finals of the world's oldest club competition once again.
Following the full-time whistle, a whole host of Tuchel's players took to social media to react to the win. Here, football.london has taken a close look at what the Blues' stars had to say.
Next up for Chelsea, following the international break is a home clash with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, April 3, which will act as a golden opportunity to continue their impressive run of form and continue their top-four charge.
After facing the Baggies, the Blues return to UEFA Champions League action for the first-leg of their quarter-final showdown with Portuguese outfit FC Porto.
