British Airways pilots across the country have begun a 48-hour walkout - part of a long-running dispute over pay.
Members of the British Airline Pilots Association (Balpa) are striking, with 'almost all' BA flights affected.
A statement to passengers on the airline's website said: "We understand the frustration and disruption BALPA’s strike action has caused you.
"After many months of trying to resolve the pay dispute, we are extremely sorry that it has come to this."
Balpa claims that the airline has 'lost the trust and confidence of pilots because of cost-cutting and dumbing down of the brand'.
"It is time to get back to the negotiating table and put together a serious offer that will end this dispute", Balpa's general secretary, Brian Strutton told the BBC.
What does this mean for LBA passengers?
There are few BA flights operating out of Leeds Bradford Airport. This means, despite the 1700 cancellations UK-wide, there is little distruption to services into and out of the Yeadon terminal.
There are two Leeds to Heathrow flights a day though, and both have been cancelled today.

Details on cancellatons for British Airways flights from and to LBA for tomorrow are not yet available.
