Leaders Swansea City slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday while second place Charlton Athletic also went down to a 1-0 loss against Birmingham City.
In-form Bristol City took advantage as they beat Stoke City 2-1 while Preston North End moved into the play-off spots with a 2-0 win over Brentford.
Leeds are now the overwhelming favourites to win promotion at 4/11 with Fulham at 6/5 and West Brom available at 17/10.
