JD Vance became the first Republican Vice President to make his appearance on ABC's 'The View', hosted by the seven women who are hostile towards the Donald Trump administration -- aside from Donald Trump's lawsuit against ABC. "It may be the optimist in me, but I just fundamentally think that most people — not everybody, but most people — even if I disagree with them, you ought to try to have a conversation with them," Vance told Fox News on his decision to sit down with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro to discuss his new book "Communion: Finding My Way Back to Fath".

"My job as vice president of the United States is not just to talk to the people who voted for me, it's to talk to the people who didn't vote for me too," said Vance. "We're going to go and try to have a good conversation. I hope they meet me halfway. I'm a little skeptical, but we'll see," he added.
But as he walked into the studio on Tuesday, his height became the first talking point as Joy Behar said she was surprised to see how tall JD Vance was. JD Vance smiled and said people mostly see his giant head on the television, and not the height.
