The Three Lions are in action this month, with manager Gareth Southgate hoping to lead his side to glory.
The summer's tournament has brought back memories of the 2018 World Cup, which saw England lose to Croatia in the semi-finals, but it also launched goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on to the world stage, particularly after his penalty heroics against Colombia.
Back then, the former Sunderland shot-stopper's height was a hot topic of conversation after Belgium's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois said he was short - but how tall is England goalie Jordan Pickford?
After England's 1-0 defeat against Belgium in the group stage, Courtois told the press "The goalkeeper (Pickford) is 10cm smaller than me. I would have caught it. He was too busy throwing his legs in the air.”
Both England manager Gareth Southgate and team mate Marcus Rashford defended Pickford, with the Manchester United player saying at the time: “I’ve not seen what (Courtois) said, but my side of it is that the way he performs and his body, he’s adapted everything to the way he is, physically.
“He’s got himself this far, so I don’t think you can really say that about him."
And he certainly was a World Cup hero for England with an amazing penalty save against Colombia and another vital one in the quarter final against Sweden.
