How should Rangers line-up v St Mirren with Roofe and Itten now on the books – pick your team

Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten have now joined up with their Rangers teammates ahead of this weekend's Scottish Premiership clash with St Mirren.

But should either man start for Steven Gerrard's side on Sunday? That's the big question.

Alfredo Morelos' poor display against Bayer Leverkusen suggests they have a better chance of featuring than you might think, no matter how little time they've spent at their new club.

Reports suggest Roofe is more than a number nine, and can play anywhere across the front three, while Itten is more of a straight-up centre forward.

How Gerrard sets his team out should be absolutely fascinating, and you wouldn't bet against seeing one or two new faces in the starting XI come Sunday afternoon.

Leon Balogun being given his debut at Pittodrie shows the Ibrox boss isn't afraid to throw his new men in if he feels they are ready.

And speaking of Balogun, the identity of Rangers' best central defensive pairing also seems to be up for some debate at the moment.

Helander was brilliant in the Leverkusen match, Balogun was superb in his first outing last weekend, supporters seem to have been impressed with George Edmundson's pre-season form, and Connor Goldson is Gerrard's ever-present.
