It is now one month since Steven Bergwijn made an instant impression against Man City on his Premier League debut.
Handed a start by Jose Mourinho a few days after his January transfer from PSV, the Dutch international scored a stunning goal to spark jubilant scenes inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Bergwijn has yet to net since his debut strike but he has made a big impression in his time on the pitch and will continue to do so over the coming years.
The 22-year-old was the second arrival at the club following Gedson Fernandes' loan move from Benfica and he did get quite a welcome from a couple of his teammates at Hotspur Way.
"When I came into the changing room on my first day here, Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura were there," he explained in the matchday programme.
"I remembered that I had played against Spurs at Wembley last season and in that game, Serge gave me a nutmeg and so that was the first thing I saw when I went into the dressing room on my first day.
"They had a clip of that moment playing on a screen when I went in. Everyone was smiling and laughing about it."
What has helped Bergwijn settle in so far is the number of players at the club who can speak Dutch.
"Michel Vorm, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld speak Dutch as well, so it's been easier for me," he added.
"My English could be better, but I can understand everything, and I can speak it, so it helps of course. It's a good group.
"The welcome that I got from my teammates helped me a lot (ahead of Man City). It was the perfect debut. I think, in the beginning though, the match was tough for me. In the first ten or 15 minutes it was hard because of the intensity. The whole game for me was hard.
"You saw that I had to be substituted late on with cramp. But, of course, it was amazing to play and to score against City. Fantastic!"
