How safe do you feel going out shopping or for a meal since lockdown eased? Have your say here

Have you been hitting the beer gardens or outdoor restaurants since lockdown restrictions eased?

Or perhaps you still don't feel safe getting out and about, with the threat of Covid-19 still a real concern for many.

We want to know what you think as lockdown rules ease and the country gets back to some sort of normality.

Since April 12, people have been able to meet in groups of up to six in beer gardens and outdoor restaurants for drinks or meals, while all shops have been able to reopen their doors.

Last week, many businesses in Newcastle saw an influx of customers - with queues of up to two hours for one popular Quayside pub on the first Friday night since the rules changed.

People have been warned to "stay vigilant" as the rules ease.

But there has been some positive news as NHS bosses said that the huge strain the virus put on services at Newcastle hospitals has "pretty well disappeared".

And it's emerged that, for the first time since October, coronavirus was no longer the leading cause of death in the UK in March.
