It's true what they say you know; not all heroes do wear capes, sometimes they just carry a broom.
One such hero, dubbed Mopman, has launched a solo mission against the biblical downpours of Download Festival this year, armed only with some serious "bulldog spirit", duct tape and some cleaning cupboard essentials.
Festival-goer Stewart Lawes has snapped the bona fide festival hero clearing the muddy path outside a doughnuts and cookies food vendor on the Donington Park site over the last couple of days.
Originally a mop, the one man clean-up operation switched to a broom this morning (June 14) and showed he meant business by securing the brush onto the handle with PLENTY of trusty duct tape.
Sharing the snap on Twitter Stewart Lawes said: "Ian/Badger aka Mopman has now switched to a broom. His back is hurting but he refuses to give up. Bulldog spirit. Volunteers welcome! Free tea if you brush."
Download Festival has been plagued with heavy rain since opening on Wednesday, June 12. The deluge has caused paths and campsites to turn into quagmires but most revellers are maintaining a sense of humour, as you can see from our very muddy gallery below.
It really is enough to make you want to run a nice hot bath.
