How President Trump reacted to getting loudly booed at the World Series

President Donald Trump’s visit to Game 5 of the World Series at Nationals Park became a story in itself on Sunday when the packed crowd loudly booed the president during a between-inning videoboard segment.

The Nationals were thanking veterans and featuring various military personnel in attendance before panning to Trump’s suite at the ballpark. The cheers for the servicemen and women immediately changed to a chorus of boos upon Trump getting displayed on the videoboard.

The fans went on to carry a “lock him up” chant into the inning that was audible in Twitter videos and on the broadcast. And Trump himself appeared to have a reaction to the harsh reception.

ABC News posted a focused video of Trump as he was shown on the videoboard. When the boos started, he turned to First Lady Melania Trump and appeared to say, “Whoa.”

Trump smiled and continued on with his applause as the segment continued. Several “Impeach Trump” banners also made appearances around the stadium.

Trump arrived at the stadium shortly after first pitch. According to pool reporters, he left Nationals Park before the eighth inning.
