Our names are a big part of our identity, and we use them every single day in every part of our lives.
Whether you've got a traditional name or a more unusual moniker - how popular is it today?
New research from the Office of National Statistics shows that Oliver and Olivia were the most common names given to newborns in 2019, with more old-fashioned style names making a comeback.
But over the year many of our favourite names fall in and out of fashion.
Emily, for example, dropped out of the top 10 for the first time since 1984, while Alexa has also been on a downward slide since we started shouting it at gadgets to get them to skip songs.

Meanwhile, there were two or fewer boys given the name Glenn in 2019 (it was the 95th most popular boys’ name in 1964).
On the other hand, pop hits are possibly inspiring more parents to pick Dua or Mabel for baby girls and Peaky Blinders fans are pushing Tommy and Arthur up the charts.
But how does your name compare? Would today’s mums and dads still regard it as a good choice for their newborn?

David Corps, from the Office of National Statistics's vital statistics outputs branch, said: "Oliver and Olivia continued their reign as the top boys’ and girls’ names in 2019, but analysis shows choices in baby names can differ depending on the mother’s age.
"We found younger mothers opted for more modern girls’ names like Harper, which has seen a rise since the Beckhams named their daughter so in 2011, and shortened boys’ names like Freddie. In contrast, older mothers chose more traditional names such as Jack and Charlotte.
"Popular culture continues to influence the baby names landscape.
"Following Dua Lipa’s first UK number one single in 2017, the number of girls named Dua has doubled from 63 to 126 in 2019."
