It is very well known that Leicester forward Jamie Vardy has a fearsome record when facing Arsenal in the Premier League.
The former Fleetwood Town man has scored 11 goals past the Gunners throughout his career - against no other side has he managed to score more.
Remarkably, those strikes have come in just 13 appearances and even more intriguingly, the 34-year-old has been on the losing side on six occasions.
He continued his excellent scoring streak against Arsenal last season by netting the winning goal at the Emirates Stadiums, his fourth goal in as many games in north London. It goes without saying then that he will be keen to continue that as Mikel Arteta takes his side to the King Power Stadium for Saturday’s early kick-off.
Should summer signing Aaron Ramsdale be selected between the sticks for the game, it could be suggested that he would have an excellent chance at doing that.
The former Bournemouth and Sheffield United stopper has appeared on four occasions throughout his career against Leicester, the most recent being the Foxes’ 5-0 thumping of the Blades towards the end of last season.
During those four games, Ramsdale has shipped 11 goals whilst not managing to keep a clean sheet - only against West Ham United does the 23-year-old have a worse personal record.
In what is either poetic symmetry or merely an intriguing coincidence, the main thorn in Ramsdale's side has been of course Vardy.
In those four outings, the former England striker has netted four goals - none of which came in the 5-0 win last term.
Should Arteta be aiming to keep the Leicester man quiet then, he may have to re-consider his goalkeeping options, or Ramsdale will have to end what has been a miserable record up against the Leicester frontman.
