How old would Madeleine McCann be now - and what would she look like?

Madeleine McCann's case remains unsolved more than a decade on from her disappearance.

The youngster became the most famous missing person in the world when she vanished on a family holiday in 2007.

Her parents Kate and Gerry McCann have been searching for her ever since, however she has never been found.

No-one has been able to prove whether Maddie is dead or alive, although police still believe they will be able to solve the case.

A Netflix documentary about her disappearance sparked renewed interest in what happened to the then three-year-old girl.

Madeleine would now be 17-years-old and could be recognised her coloboma, an eye condition which resulted in a blemish in her right eye.

Police previously shared an image of what Maddie would have looked like aged nine.

Last year Maddie's parents rejected new pictures of what their daughter could look like.

The age-progression images of their child were circulated on  Instagram, although neither of Maddie's parents signed off on them.

Gerry and Kate fear the pictures could mislead people and actually hamper the search for their daughter.

The Official Find Madeleine Campaign  Facebook  page, run on behalf of the parents, previously said: "We have received questions about a new age-progression image that was circulated on Instagram.

"This image was not commissioned by nor endorsed by Gerry and Kate or Operation Grange [the Met Police team in charge of the case].

"Any other accounts sharing age-progression images are not from us or Operation Grange. Thank you for helping in the search for Madeleine."

Kate and Gerry, from Rothley, Leicestershire, were on holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007 when Madeleine disappeared from their flat.
