The X Factor returns to our screens this weekend but not in the format we;d usually expect.
Show bosses have decided to pull the plug on the normal version for a year and instead they are treating us to an Allstars series, which is set to air in the run up to Christmas and , which starts on ITV on Saturday night.
Talking about why he's doing a celebrity version of The X Factor, Simon said: "It just felt so obvious to do a celebrity version.
"The only condition was I couldn’t know who was going to be on it.
"I said to the team, 'You’ve got to find some acts who you believe can sell records off the back of this, because if you don’t do that it won’t work.'
"So that was the deal and we stuck to it. I swear to God I didn’t have a clue who any of the acts were."
includes Martin Bashir, Love Island stars and Jeremy Edwards & Brendan cOle who are competing as a duo.
How old is Jeremy Edwards?
Born on February 17, 1971, Jeremy is 48 years old.
He is best known for playing Kurt Benson in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and appeared on the show right back in 1995, when it made its debut.
Jeremy has also appeared in Holby City and right now is probably best known for playing Mike Taylor in Millie Inbetween.
