How old are JLS now? National Television Awards performance lined up for boyband

After eight years away, JLS will be making their long awaited comeback during Thursday’s National Television Awards.

It was back in 2008 that Aston, Marvin, Ortise and JB came within a whisker of winning The X Factor, finishing second to Alexandra Burke.

But, like many others who didn’t actually win the ITV talent show, they didn’t let defeat stand in their way and shot straight to number 1 with debut single Beat Again in the summer of 2009.

That was swiftly followed to the top spot by Everybody in Love, with more number 1s coming courtesy of Love You More, The Club is Alive and She Makes Me Wanna.

The quartet called it a day after a massive nationwide arena tour in 2013, following the release of a greatest hits album.

Aston Merrygold is 33, Marvin Humes is 36, Ortise Williams is 34 and JB Gill is also 34.

They announced a comeback tour nearly two years ago now, but their plans were thwarted by the coronavirus pandemic.

But now they’re back and ready to hit the rod after the release of new single Eternal Love, which they’ll perform at the NTAs.
