A study advising how often clothing should be washed has left some cleaning fanatics stunned.
The study by experts at Which? has left people shocked after it revealed some clothing could be worn up to 10 times before needing to go in the washing machine.
While most of us shouldn't be surprised to learn that items such as pants, swimwear and workout gear should be washed after being worn once.

However Which? boffins says jeans can be worn anything between six and 10 times before they need to be put through a cycle.
Dresses and even bras can be worn up to three times, according to the advice.
Sweatshirts should be worn five or six times before washing and pjyamas three to four wears before they need a wash.
But not everyone agreed with the guidelines which were shared on the Facebook group, Organise My Home UK
One member said: "You have to wash a bra straight after you wear it, can't wear for 2-3. I don't understand."
Another said: "I wash everything after one wear, my bedding every 2-3days."
Another added: "I wash my jeans after every 1st or 2nd wash, no way would I wait 6-10 wears."
Another said: "Everything straight in the wash after wearing (I have four kids my clothes are far from clean after one day) including the kids and my bedding at least 2/3 times a week."

However some mums agreed, saying over-washing is bad for clothing and the environment.
One said: "This looks about right, unless there are spillages that can't be spot cleaned. Washing more frequently uses more time (yours), energy, CO2, water, puts more microplastics into the environment, and wears out the clothes quicker."
Another added: "Looks about right to an extent. Jeans (especially full denim) aren’t supposed to be washed often as it ruins the integrity of them but mine is usually a cpl of wears."
