How NottinghamshireLive is helping to support takeaways and small business during coronavirus pandemic

In an attempt to adapt quickly to the strict measures put in place throughout the UK, many restaurants, bars and pubs have turned into takeaways offering delivery service.

InYourArea, in collaboration with NottinghamshireLive, is offering support to small businesses across the country by launching a tool to see who is offering delivery in each postcode area.

Using the tool, readers will be able to enter their postcode and see the companies which are providing takeaway services in their community.

Businesses are being urged to take advantage of the free service and to sign up so that customers in their area know where to order from.

This form can be used by any restaurant, bar, pub, brewery, drinks producer, cafe, bakery, farm shop or other establishment offering food and drink via delivery to the public.

Your business details will then be put into our database and shared with customers near your location.

Ed Walker, editor-in-chief of In Your Area, said: "Many restaurants across the UK have converted to doing takeaway services through delivery in the last week.

"InYourArea is supporting small businesses across the UK and one of the ways is through allowing you to see where is offering delivery near you.

"We've built a service to allow you to put in your postcode and see the restaurants you love in your town or city who have managed to keep the doors open through becoming a takeaway service.

"I know near me there's three well-loved pub restaurants operated by a small family-chain who are now offering takeaway when they didn't a week ago.

"InYourArea wants to shine a light on these businesses and help them to make it through these difficult times.

"If you run a restaurant, pub, takeaway, which is doing delivery and continuing to trade in the face of the coronavirus pandemic then please fill in the form."
