How Nottingham Forest transfer target is gearing up for summer move

Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Lyle Taylor has linked up with a non-League team to keep himself fit ahead of his much-talked-about next move.

Taylor is leaving Charlton Athletic when his contract expires at the end of this month, and will be available on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old front man turned down a short-term deal to see out the delayed 2019-20 season with the Addicks.

And he has opted not to play in the club's three matches in June - while he is still under contract - in order to avoid the risk of injury potentially scuppering a transfer elsewhere.

Forest are among a number of clubs to have been linked with the former AFC Wimbledon star, along with the likes of Burnley, Bristol City, Rangers and Galatasaray.

To keep his fitness levels up to scratch, Taylor has been doing some training with South London Sunday League club SE Dons, which is run by grime artist Don Strapzy.

The club's Twitter account posted a video of the Montserrat international showing off his skills before curling a shot into the top corner of the net.

But who will he be banging the goals in for next season? Well, that remains to be seen.

Taylor has scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for Charlton this term.
