How Nottingham Forest's season ticket prices for 2021/22 compare with Championship rivals

There is little more than a week to go before Nottingham Forest find out their fixture schedule for the 2021/22 season.

Reds fans are hoping it will be a much improved campaign after a 17th placed finish last time around - and that they will be able to get to the City Ground to see it.

After more than a year of playing behind closed doors, the hope is supporters will be able to return to the stands come August when the new term gets up and running.

Season card renewals have been going well at Forest, with more than 15,000 having already secured their seats.

The club have frozen the cost of renewing at last season’s prices, saying it is a “thank you” for fans’ “support during these difficult times”.

Prices start at £365 for adults and £35 for concessions, for children aged four to 11.

But how does that compare to the rest of the Championship?

The Daily Mirror have had a look at the pricing structures for all 24 sides in the second tier when it comes to season tickets - and the Reds do compare favourably with their rivals.

According to the list, the cheapest place to regularly watch games is the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

QPR's cheapest ticket is on offer for £225. That equates to just £9.78 per league game.

Other teams also offering relatively cheap deals include Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and beaten play-off finalists Swansea City.

They all have tickets starting at £249.

Many clubs have had season tickets on sale since earlier this year and “early bird” deadlines may well have passed, although some remain open until well into June.

An interesting comparison can also be made with regards to new teams in next year's division.

Sheffield United were relegated from the Premier League, while Peterborough United came up from League One.

Despite that, it is the Blades who are offering cheaper access to matches. Their lowest season ticket comes in at £357 (£15.50 per game), while Posh's prices start at £399 (£17.34 per game).

Three clubs - Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and West Bromwich Albion - have yet to release their pricing structures.

Newly-promoted Hull City run a membership scheme rather than selling individual season tickets, with supporters required to pay a flat fee over 12 months.

The most expensive season ticket next term, excluding executive membership schemes, is at Bournemouth, where you can fork out up to £760 - that works out at roughly £33 per match.
