Arsenal's £80million deal for Nicolas Pepe could impact the club in their pursuit of Celtic ace Kieran Tierney.
The Gunners look likely of completing the signing of the 24-year-old winger over the next few days, unless another club hijacks.
However, it could mean a more difficult time in signing Scotland international defender Tierney.
The 22-year-old is highly regarded by the Scottish giants, with north Londoners reportedly looking at a cut-price deal for the left-back.
During 'The Transfer Window' podcast host Ian McGarry alongside guest Duncan Castles discussed what the signing of Pepe could mean for Arsenal's chances of signing Tierney.

Castles pitted the question to McGarry saying: "Could the £80m deal for Pepe impact efforts to sign Kieran Tierney for a price that is acceptable to Arsenal?"
"I suspect it’ll have the negative effect," McGarry responded.
"The way that Celtic will be looking at it - Arsenal are already trying to get him on the cheap as far as their concerned and by paying in instalments.
"They’ll look at the Pepe deal and be like ‘well were you just playing us all along?’
"Pleading poverty saying we can only pay you this amount this year and this the next and you’ve got a board and owner there who know the value of a pound, so I think it’ll have the reverse effect in terms of persuading Celtic to sell."

Tierney burst onto the scene at Celtic in 2014 making two appearances towards the end of the campaign, then in his debut season he made 33 appearances in all competitions.
Since his debut in 2014 the Scotsman has made 168 appearances, helping the Scottish giants win the title for the past five seasons straight, he has also won the Scottish League Cup and Scottish Cup three times each.
