Newcastle United's start to the season has given them a slightly better chance of staying up than previously thought.
That is according to the bookmakers, who have revised the odds on the Magpies being relegated following some summer transfer window arrivals and seven points from four matches.
Newcastle had previously been given odds of 9/4 to be relegated, which made them fourth favourites for the drop.
Only West Brom, Fulham and Aston Villa had shorter odds of being relegated than Steve Bruce's men.
According to Paddy Power, the Magpies are now fifth favourites to be relegated, with their odds slightly improving.
With Newcastle currently sat ninth in the Premier League, having ground out results without playing particularly well in some matches, they are now ranked at 3/1 to be relegated.
However, odds of 1/5 to stay up suggest the bookies feel confident that they will manage to avoid the drop this season.
If Magpies fans feel optimistic about their chances this season, they can also get odds of 6/1 on a top-10 finish.
